Associate of Science/Associate of Applied Science in Nursing

Welcome and thank you for your interest in Jefferson State Community College’s Registered Nursing program. It is our mission to prepare students to enter the nursing workforce with an entry-level nursing degree. We offer the Associate in Applied Science degree and prepare students to take the national licensure examination for registered nurses (NCLEX). Jefferson State serves approximately 15,000 students each year and is one of the largest community colleges in the state. We currently offer more than 120 university transfer programs, 33 career programs and numerous certificate programs at our four campuses in Jefferson, Shelby, St. Clair and Chilton counties.
