Our program is accredited through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs and the National Commission of Orthotic and Prosthetic Education. We aim to help students achieve academic and real-world success through the attitudes, skills, and knowledge they learn through our program. Our end goal is to give our students the tools they need to be ethical and competent practitioners of allied health.
Do you want to continue your education in a meaningful direction? Are you ambitious to work toward a master’s degree that gives you a unique skill set and knowledge base to help others?
Good news — if you have a bachelor’s degree in a health or medical-related field, you can work toward the accredited Orthotics and Prosthetics Master’s Program offered by the International Institute of Orthotics & Prosthetics.
Our institute got its start in 2015. Since then, our program has evolved into an accredited Orthotics and Prosthetics Master’s Program that helps students work toward their potential and achieve career goals.
If you are looking for a continuing education opportunity, be sure to explore the programs offered at our institute, explore our admission requirements, and contact us to work with an academic advisor.
Orthotics and prosthetics is a specialized health care profession that combines technical and clinical skills to care for patients with neuromuscular and musculoskeletal disorders and/or patients who have a partial or total absence of a limb. O&P professionals examine and measure patients, then design and fabricate appropriate devices such as prosthetic limbs and medical braces that allow these individuals to live more active and independent lives. The O&P profession offers the opportunity to interact one-on-one with patients and make a positive, life-changing impact.
The need for O&P professionals is increasing due to aging population and the number of veterans needing O&P services. According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, employment in the O&P field is projected to increase 18% from 2020 to 2030, much faster than the national average for all occupations.
