The mission of the B.S. The biochemistry program is to prepare students for employment in biochemistry-related areas and pursue graduate degrees in biochemistry or health-related professional schools by educating them in the fundamental concepts, skills, and techniques of biochemistry. This degree is a specialized combination of the areas of chemistry and biology.

Students who major in Biochemistry will:

Demonstrate knowledge of biochemical concepts and the ability to apply the knowledge.

Develop the skills necessary for the field of biochemistry.
