Anhui University of Science and Technology (AUST) was established in 1945. It is the earliest engineering college in Anhui Province and one of the two earliest universities in China conducting the higher education of mining sciences. It is under the co-construction of the Anhui Provincial Government and the State Administration of Work Safety. It is also one of the 100 universities in the middle and west of China that are supported by the National Plan of Higher Education Rejuvenation.
