The accredited MBA course

"Integrated Sustainability Management - QUAR" is an expression of the policy of the _Zittau/Görlitz University of _ Applied Sciences to create new market and application-oriented courses.

The course enables graduates to meet the needs of today's world of work, which are characterized by globalization, scarcity of resources and increasingly tough competition. Sustainability management is a challenging cross-sectional task that requires systematic processes, adaptive structures and efficient internal and external communication. The four eponymous names illustrate the subject areas that corporate sustainability management encompasses from our point of view:

• quality management
• environmental management
• occupational health and safety management
• risk management

The four areas form the core modules of our course. They are sensibly supplemented by the module complex of management and social skills as well as elective modules from the economics area.

Part-time course

Our offer is aimed at professionals who want more than just professional training. We deal with the dynamic and complex issues of today, which are characterized by globalization, scarcity of resources and increasingly tough competition. The course is practice- and company-oriented. Our professors impart the necessary theoretical basics. Experienced experts and lecturers create the practical relevance. The focus is always on the participants, their experiences and questions. We strive for a joint active learning process, no passive transfer of theoretical knowledge from teachers to learners.

The development and testing of the course is a project of the Faculty of Mathematics/Natural Sciences at the Zittau/Görlitz University of Applied Sciences and was funded by the European Social Fund and the Free State of Saxony.

The duration of the master's program is five semesters including the master's thesis. The students acquire 90 ECTS points and, for a fee, the TÜV certificates:

• Quality Management Officer,
• Environmental Management Officer
• Occupational safety management officer.

Tuition fees of EUR 2250 per semester are charged. We will be happy to inform you about individual funding opportunities!

Relevant prior study achievements can be recognized upon application.

admission requirements

In addition to a professional university degree, at least one year of experience in a relevant profession is required.

Suitability and individual requirements of the applicants are determined in a personal admissions interview.

For foreign applicants, proof of German language skills at university level (DSH) is also required.

Study objective

The transfer of subject-specific knowledge and current developments as well as the interdisciplinary approach to the various management systems enable graduates to recognize and analyze economic problems and to develop the necessary solutions. The supplementary modules prepare the future managers for putting the solutions to problems into practice.
