Trinity’s criminal justice program focuses on the discipline within the broader concept of social justice in a multi-cultural, industrialized democracy. Students explore the historical, theoretical, and practical aspects of the discipline and are challenged to analyze current issues in the field, including evaluating the criminal justice system's performance in deterring crime, protecting the public, and fostering a just society.
As a criminal justice major at Trinity, you will learn academic and real-world perspectives on crime: its causation, prevention, and control. As you gain a full understanding of the criminal justice process, your coursework will cover a wide variety of interests within the criminal justice field, including delinquency, law enforcement, criminology, juvenile justice, criminal procedure, and corrections.
Our alumnae have pursued careers in a wide range of fields, such as law enforcement at the state and federal level, offender supervision, legal counsel, and counsellors for at-risk youth.
