Offering a minimum of 30 hours of training, Proofreading Academy incorporates tests and practical exercises, along with access to a tutoring service so we can better meet your needs (every user is entitled to a free 30-minute Skype call with one of our tutors). The course is designed so that you can learn at your own pace in your own time, with current modules including:

A chance to show off what you have learned! You will take two proofreading tests and a formatting test, which you will receive detailed tutor feedback for. If you score 80% or above, you will immediately be offered a freelance role working for Proofed Inc. If not, you will have the opportunity to take the tests again after a dedicated feedback call with one of our tutors.
All you need to do is finish signing up and work your way through each module, completing the end-of-module proofreading exercise and tests to progress to the next one (along with some mid-module exercises and quizzes so that you can test yourself on what you have learned as you go). There is also a final proofreading exercise at the end of the course.
After signing up, you have six months to complete the course (see terms and conditions for further information). Once you are finished, you will be fully qualified to start editing and proofreading documents professionally. We will even offer advice on how to find work as a freelance proofreader!
