Licenciatura en Estudios Afroamericanos

examines the history of people of African descent from the colonial period through the present. This includes studying racial inequality and social movements and exposing students to the ideas, institutions, and practices that African-American peoples have used to survive and shape the modern world.

Our multidisciplinary program draws upon expertise in the College of the Liberal Arts and Penn State at large while remaining a close-knit family that brings together students, faculty, staff, and the broader African-American community.

The College of the Liberal Arts at Penn State is one of the premier institutions in the world to study and work in the liberal arts disciplines. We offer outstanding programs in fields ranging from anthropology (ranked number one nationally) to women's studies, with an impressive variety of other humanities, life, and social science fields to choose from. On-campus, we offer forty-seven undergraduate majors and graduate work in twenty-one fields. Online, we offer fifteen bachelor's, master's, and associate degrees.
