Students are admitted directly into the nursing program as first-year students, assuring their placement in the nursing program. Hands-on clinical experiences begin the sophomore year. NCLEX-RN pass rates continue to rise well above state and national averages.
Take Course Like
Fundamentals of Nursing Practice, where you will learn the foundations and principles of nursing practice; Women’s Health, Maternal and Newborn Nursing, a course that utilizes primary health are and family-centered framework to study maternal-newborn nursing and women’s health nursing; and Transition into Professional Nursing Practice, the senior capstone course that focuses on critical thinking and decision making for transition to professional practice.

Add Opportunities and Experiences
The Lienhard School of Nursing ensures that clinical and simulation laboratory experiences are a primary component of the student experience. Our Center for Excellence in Healthcare Simulation is a 10,000 sq. ft. facility with fully equipped state-of-the-art simulation suites, high fidelity patient manikins designed to mimic human behavior, as well as task trainers and standardized patients (actors) to provide students with a real-world experience to practice skills and gain clinical confidence before heading out into the field. In our program, students will complete over 700 hours of clinical in a variety of areas, such as behavioral health, maternal and women’s health, pediatrics, acute, chronic, and critical care.
In the final semester, students complete a capstone experience in a unique one-to-one preceptorship with a working registered nurse. This final preceptorship may occur in one of many specialties, including the emergency department, ICU, oncology, operating room, NICU, and many more. Students build skills and confidence in the Center for Excellence in Healthcare Simulation.

The baccalaureate degree in Nursing, master’s degree in Nursing, Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies, and Doctor of Nursing Practice at Pace University are accredited by The Commission on Collegiate Nursing Education.
