Business (EDEXCEL)

This program is designed for students wanting an internationally-recognized degree in business with affordable tuition fee. Students can choose to specialize in management or accounting pathways. This program is a cooperation with Edexcel, a leading awarding body in the UK. Edexcel is well known for its vocational, undergraduate and postgraduate programs, as well as providing exams for more than 25,000 schools, colleges, and universities in 100 countries worldwide. Every year more than 300,000 students enrolled in programs of Edexcel.

CURRICULUM

Designed to meet workplace needs, the program combines general knowledge and skills required in business, including management, administration, human resources, marketing, accounting and law, and the professional skills related to the specialization that students choose. By the end of the program, students will be able to meet the UK’s NVQ standards.

The program will last 2 years.

QUALIFICATION

Graduates are granted BTEC Higher National Diploma in Business (Management) or HND in Business (Accounting). HND is one of the UK’s internationally-recognized degrees. Graduates are, therefore, easy to find a job or continue to study higher in the UK, Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Hong Kong.

ADMISSION

There are 4 terms a year, enrollment in October, January, April, and July. Admission is based on reviewing applicants’ high school transcripts and English proficiency level. Applicants (without proof of English proficiency) are required to sit for English placement test and take English courses at NIIE if their English level is less than 4.5 IELTS (or equivalent).

CAREER

Career opportunities for graduates with HND in business are unlimited. With fluent English skills, solid business knowledge, and practical skills, graduates will be able to start working as an administrator or an assistant to the director in any business sectors. For management major: administrative officers, human resources officers, project officers, assistant to the director, executive assistant, and officers in the other departments, etc. For accounting major: financial accountants, management accountants, auditors, budget controllers and managers, investment and financial manager and tax specialist, financial officers, credit bank officers, etc.

• International Top-up bachelor degree of NIIE’s partners at NIIE (Coventry Univeristy-1 year)
