The McKendree University Masters of Arts in Education (MAED) is designed for educators who want to continue to develop their professional commitment and competence in areas such as curriculum design and instruction, teacher leadership licensure, special education, principal preparation, and higher education services along with endorsements in a variety of licensure areas. Faculty within the School of Education believe teacher candidates develop the necessary skills of teaching through a sequence of professional education courses in theory and methodologies. In addition, a series of clinical experiences in a variety of diverse school settings help candidates transfer university classroom instruction into practical teaching skills.
