Fellowship en Farmacia de Enfermedades Infecciosas

The Loma Linda University PGY2 Infectious Diseases Fellowship is a 24-month program designed to provide a fellow with the opportunity to experience various infectious disease practice settings, including adult, pediatric, neonatal, intensive care, transplant, oncology, and emergency medicine. Training will also include hospital-wide antibiotic stewardship, pharmacokinetic monitoring, and electives. A strong research component will be a major aspect of the program. Our program's goal is to prepare the fellow to become proficient in the patient-specific, evidence-based pharmacotherapy of infectious diseases in a broad spectrum of patients.

Loma Linda University School of Pharmacy admitted its first class in the Fall quarter of 2002. The specific objective of the Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree program is to educate pharmacists in a Seventh-day Adventist Christian setting. Graduates will be able to provide high-quality pharmacy care as fully participating members of health-care teams committed to whole-person care.

The four-year program leads to the Pharm.D. degree and is the first offering of the professional doctorate in a pharmacy degree program by a Seventh-day Adventist institution of higher learning. Priority is given to those students who are on track to complete a bachelor's degree in biological, chemical, or related sciences.
