Executive MBA Program Schedule
HPU's 18-month Executive MBA Program is structured to acommodate the demanding lifestyle of working professionals. This intensive 18-month program permits participants to pursue their professional and educational goals simultaneously.
Executive MBA participants attend classes on Friday evenings and all Saturday. HPU's weekend format schedule breaks for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's and other intervals throughout the 18-month program.
Executive MBA Program Format
Class size will not exceed 35 students. When working and learning together in an intense degree program that introduces a myriad of advanced management theories, participants quickly appreciate the intimacy of a small class. Many are employees from Hawaii's leading companies; others are entrepreneurs, physicians, and lawyers. Because the program is diverse and team-based, students often collaborate in small groups bringing together an interesting mix of backgrounds and professions. The value of diversity is that each student brings to the class a unique set of skillls and experiences that collectively create a learning environment second to none.

Whether conducting e-meetings from the home or office, or cooperating on team projects, Executive MBA students constantly rely upon one another's strengths as a means for achieving success. Executive MBA Admissions Process
A holistic approach is used to evaluate each candidate, and no one factor will exclude an applicant from consideration. The Exective MBA Program is designed for experienced professionals. A minimum of two years of work experience with evidence of knowledge and potential growth are important factors. Potential candidates must hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. In certain circumstances, an applicant may be invited for a personal interview.
Each applicant will be evaluated individually. The admissions committee seeks a diverse class with a variety of backgrounds. Solid recommendations from individuals who are in a position to evaluate professional or academic strengths along with a clear and well-written personal essay can positively affect the admission decision.
The program is open to graduates of all disciplines and does not require course work in business. Students without business degrees are highly encouraged to participate in the education refresher courses.
Hawai'i Pacific University operates on a rolling admission basis so applicants are encouraged to apply early. Admission decisions are made as soon as all necessary documents have been received. Once a decision has been made, applicants are generally notified within one week.
