At the end of his training, thanks to a high scientific and technical level, the graduated engineer will be able to manage and coordinate teams in France and abroad. He will be able to intervene from the design of a product or service by providing innovative solutions and supporting the evolution of the company in the context of the digital and ecological transitions it is facing. Depending on his choice of professional orientation, he will be able to carry out his activity in all sectors of industry and services.
Possible Options
The general course options are divided into 3 sub-families: - Ecological transition and sustainable development: Quality-Safety-Environment, Energy performance - Digital transition: Prototyping, Robotics - Industry and innovation: Business unit manager, Optimization of industrial performance, Industry 5.0, Entrepreneurship, Innovation. The student will be able to choose 2 options among those offered on each campus.
Five years to prepare you for the profession of engineer. In the preparatory cycle, you start with a year common to the four areas of CESI and gradually you move towards choosing your major in the 3rd year. In a general engineering major in industry & services, you are able to provide innovative solutions to the problems encountered. To specialize and stand out, opt for a 5th year option. Accredited by the Commission for Engineering Qualifications (CTI), this Program benefits from international recognition.
Corporate Missions
Preparatory cycle: Study of mechanical systems / Choice of materials / Sizing of a fluid network / Design of controlled systems / Computer-aided design / Study of a production line Engineering curriculum: Study and design of new products / Optimization through statistical control of processes / Development of test benches / Implementation of ISO certification / Relocation of production means / Deployment of a continuous improvement approach / Start-up of a waste recovery unit / Optimization of the energy consumption of a factory
What he will be able to do in business
In the preparatory cycle, the student will carry out the following missions: production of calculation notes, design and development of classic hardware or software functions, performance of functional validation tests, etc.
In the engineering course, he progresses from the role of technician to that of engineer:
- Confirmed technician at the end of the 1st year: he masters the technical aspects of his missions and knows how to apply them independently.
- Assistant engineer at the end of the 2nd year: he can deal with problems requiring new solutions, and supervise teams in the field.
- Junior engineer at the end of the cycle: he is autonomous in dealing with entire subjects, integrating technical, economic, organizational and human dimensions.
Throughout the training, the CSR policy and sustainable development objectives will be put into context in the academic course and during the periods undertaken.
The Evaluation System
In the preparatory cycle as in the engineering course, the evaluation system is based on continuous assessment. The lessons are distributed in different Teaching Units; each unit corresponds to a certain number of ECTS credits. One year corresponds to 60 credits. Students must have validated all their teaching units and obtained their ECTS credits to move on to the next year.
The conditions for obtaining the diploma are:
- Validate all the Teaching Units, therefore having acquired 300 credits over the five years of training
- Obtain a B2 level certification in English
- Carry out mobility abroad for a period of 20 weeks
The CESI engineering course is a program involving a 2-year preparatory cycle followed by a 3-year course of study on campus which leads to an engineering diploma (level 7 Master).
