The curriculum is adjusted continuously in response to changing economic realities. The Economics Program admits 50 students annually; it is ranked as one of the best economics graduate programs in Japan. Students must complete required courses of Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, and Economic History, as well as courses relevant to specific fields, and pass their master theses to earn the Master of Economics degree. Field options include Macroeconomics, Microeconomics, Econometrics, Public Economics. The Department of Material Science deals with solid-state physics and materials chemistry and their relationship to basic physics of magnetism, dielectrics and superfluidity, superconductivity and semiconductors, ceramics, high polymers, functional proteins, and various materials. In the electronics materials field, the aim is to develop applications of studied principles as they pertain to certain devices, particularly electronic devices.

Subject groups, as the first dimension of the GSB matrix, are composed of four subjects: Management, Accounting, Finance and Distribution, and Industry and Region. Every subject provides both basic and advanced knowledge of the area. Students can choose anyone as their major or minor. In the second dimension of the GSB matrix, there are five research units: Strategic Management, Management Information, International Business, Industry Creation, and Public and Environmental Management. Every research unit is designed for the purpose of specialized and focused research. Students can make a variety of choices by selecting different subjects and units. The Management Program admits 33 students annually.
