The School of Nuclear Science and Engineering (SNSE) was established based on the preponderant disciplines in North China Electric Power University (NCEPU), aiming to implement the national policy about “the medium and long term development plan of nuclear power”. This school is also the core component of the education system with “Big Electric Power” features which is built with emphasis on subjects related to new type energy. 　　SNSE was founded in 2007. Founded in 1986, Pharmacological College is one of the oldest schools of the university. Formerly the Department of Chinese Medicine, it was renamed as the Department of Pharmaceutics in 1999 and then again renamed as School of Pharmaceutics in 2006. The school offered the vocational specialty of Chinese medicine in 1986, the Chinese medicine undergraduate specialty in 1994, the pharmaceutical preparation specialty in 2000, the pharmaceutics specialty in 2001, the food science and engineering specialty in 2003, and the medical herb cultivation and certification specialty.
