Online MS in Economic Crime Management: provides professional education to individuals who desire to advance their expertise in managing corporate and technological resources to combat financial crime.

The program combines the areas of management, technology, and analytical skills with a knowledge and understanding of financial crime and compliance from a global perspective. The curriculum focuses on fraud and risk management strategies, current economic crime challenges, and applying innovative technological and analytical solutions. It has been designed to meet the growing security demands placed on experienced personnel in law enforcement, private corporations, government, and the military in our current global environment.

Admissions Requirements

Students applying to the online MS in Economic Crime Management degree must have a Bachelor's degree prior to enrolling in the program.

What we need from you:

  • A completed online application
  • $50 application fee (or waiver request) for Graduate Programs
  • Evidence of a minimum of two years' work experience in a related field (e.g. C.V./Resume or other documents)
  • Letter of support from your employer (form provided by Utica College)
  • 2-3 letters of recommendation
  • Official transcripts of all previous academic works in English and an explanation of the grading system
  • An official course by course International Credential Evaluation of transcripts showing equivalency to a US Bachelor's degree with 2.5 GPA or higher
  • English language proficiency tests such as TOEFL or IELTS if English is not your first language -- UC requires a TOEFL score of 550 written, 213 computer-based, 79 internet-based and IELTS of 6.0

Curriculum

The online MS in Economic Crime Management degree requires completion of 36 credit hours. This program is fully online and is intended to be completed from your existing location. No campus visits are required and the program does not support visa applications.

    Utica College is proud to be designated a National Center of Academic Excellence in Information Assurance/Cyber Defense Education (CAE IA/CD) by the National Security Agency (NSA) and Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Utica College has met the increased demands of this new designation category with its Bachelor's and Master's in Cybersecurity programs. The NSA designation covers the academic years 2014 through 2019.

    The college has also earned designation as a National Center of Digital Forensics Academic Excellence (CDFAE) by the Defense Cyber Crime Center (DC3). The CDFAE program offers designations to accredited academic programs that confer a digital forensics-related degree. To receive CDFAE designation, an institution's accredited academic program must map courses against a common core curriculum and must have in-course peer reviews of curriculum and practicum within a three year period. Our suite of programs in Economic Crime and Justice Studies is formally recognized by the International Association of Law Enforcement Intelligence Analysts (IALEIA) and we are an academic member of the organization.
