Program Description

The University of Hartford, Barney School of Business offers a variety of programs for students seeking advanced education in the fields of Accounting and Taxation. Students can earn the master’s degree in as few as seven months, or at their own pace, and meet the 150-hour CPA licensing requirement. Our programs are taught by full-time resident faculty and adjunct faculty who have a wealth of knowledge in the field. Students can choose from online and in-class options and our rolling admissions process allows new students to enroll in the fall, spring, and summer terms. For students seeking certificate programs, our accounting certificate provides students who have an undergraduate degree in a field other than accounting the opportunity to take a series of essential undergraduate accounting courses. Students with a master’s degree in accounting, a JD degree, or who are current CPAs may take a series of graduate taxation courses in the Post-Graduate Taxation Certificate program.

Programs of Study

The MSAT program offers two tracks each requiring 30 credits. The first track is designed for those students interested in careers in financial and assurance services.
