The UTSA Master of Arts degree in Economics is a 33-credit hour graduate program, with three distinct concentrations.

Business Data Analysis and Forecasting: For public and private sector employment focusing on data analysis

Financial Economics: For students pursuing careers in the financial services industry

General Economics: For Ph.D. program preparation

In addition to our industry-focused applied curriculum, you will gain a strong foundation of economic theory. All students are required to take a common set of core courses that includes Microeconomics Theory, Macroeconomics Theory, Mathematical Economics and Econometrics and Business Forecasting.
