The Online International Foundation Programme for Business is a one-year course providing a pathway to undergraduate studies in Business. Students will gain an active understanding of a range of themes affecting the contemporary business world, such as international financial markets, management and marketing. Students will also undertake a research project, allowing them to consolidate and showcase their business knowledge, as well as the academic language, numeracy and research skills they will gain on the programme. Upon successful completion, (at 50% overall grade and 55% in the English module) of the International Foundation Programme will guarantee students progression to the three-year undergraduate Business degree programmes at ULaw.

International Foundation Programme – Business Online

Our International Foundation Programme for Business Online is designed to help you develop the academic and linguistic skills required for degree-level study. With our pre-degree course, we offer you a basic introduction to key principles of business while boosting your skills in the English language and maths. The course can be studied in nine months or six months as an accelerated version. Once you’ve completed this online course you will feel more confident in your abilities to undertake one of our undergraduate degrees in business.

Course Details

Our online programme will help you to develop the academic and linguistic skills required to go onto degree-level business study. It will provide you with a basic introduction to the key principles of business, to enable you to study this subject with confidence. The course offers a flexible study mode as you can study online via study centres or independently.

Upon successful completion of this programme, you can choose to continue your studies at one of our campuses offering business degrees or online.

To progress onto one of our three-year business degrees, successful completion requirements to be achieved would be a 50% overall grade and 55% in the English module in the Business International Foundation Programme Online.

Course Information

Assessment

Throughout the programme, there is a balanced mix of coursework, in-class tests and formal exams. Students are also assessed on their ability to work collaboratively and independently.

Structure

To study our three-year BA or BSc Business degrees you’ll need to achieve the following grades on this course:

  • 50% overall grade and 55% in the English module of the Business International Foundation Programme

Course Requirements

Students must have completed secondary education (typically at least 11 years of education) including successfully passing mathematics at the secondary school level. This programme is not intended for UK students they should instead consider the four-year degree programmes with an integrated foundation year. An English language level equivalent to IELTS 5.0 or above with a minimum of 4.5 in each component. Please note students requiring a visa who provide IELTS for admission must ensure that they provide the IELTS for the UKVI test. The non-UKVI IELTS Academic is not acceptable for the International Foundation Programme.
