Our Audio Production program is designed to respond to the rapidly changing multi-media nature of the entertainment industry. Learn how to produce audio for film, TV, games, recording engineering, live sound and more.

This program offers advanced training for audio engineering, music production and more, providing students with focused knowledge and understanding of recording engineering and foundational music and production skills.

The Studio, your Classroom

Our analog and digital sound labs are your audio playground. Here, you’ll log real-time on professional consoles, working with the same gear found in real-world studios, because this isn’t a hobby for you, it’s your life.

Gear Up

Creativity never stops, why should you? Students of both programs are outfitted with a MacBook Pro loaded with Logic Pro X and Avid Pro Tools as well as a professional mic and stand, headphones and external hard drive. If you are part of our bachelor’s program, you will also receive the Abode Creative Suite as part of your software package.

About the School

Located in the heart of Hollywood, The Los Angeles Film School has been serving the community and its students since 1999. This accredited, VA-approved institution offers career-focused Bachelor of Science degrees in Digital Filmmaking, Film, Graphic Design, Entertainment Business and Animation ; as well as Associate of Science degrees in Music Production, Audio Production and Film . Its facilities include the historic RCA Building, at 6363 Sunset Boulevard, and the school offers its students access to the same equipment used by industry professionals. The Hollywood Reporter called The Los Angeles Film School "one of the best-equipped private learning centers in the country." The Los Angeles Film School's faculty of entertainment professionals has earned credits on a number of major motion pictures, video games, and albums. Graduates of the school have worked on GRAMMY® and Oscar® nominated and awarded projects. Alumni have received awards at film festivals worldwide and engineered multi-platinum albums. OUR HISTORY

In the spring of 1999, a group of Hollywood professionals founded The Los Angeles Film School . Their goal was to establish an institution where industry veterans can share their knowledge of film production with a new generation of filmmakers. The Los Angeles Film School expanded its offerings in 2004 with the addition of the Los Angeles Recording School recording engineering certificate program. Today, the school offers associate and bachelor’s degrees in multiple disciplines across the entertainment and media industry, including animation, game, entertainment business, film, music production and recording arts.

OUR MISSION

The mission of The Los Angeles Film School is to inspire students with an inventive method of education that concentrates on preparation for career opportunities in the entertainment industry. We do this with a curriculum that integrates technical knowledge with artistic exploration and creativity, taught by a staff of industry professionals. Our education is delivered through reflective teaching methods and hands-on learning in the heart of Hollywood, the world’s entertainment capital. Our programs are designed to immerse aspiring talent in industry practices and current technologies, enabling them to discover their individual voices through collaboration and realize their career goals in the entertainment industry.

OUR CAMPUS

The campus currently occupies over 250,000 square feet of space in the heart of Hollywood, California with instructional facilities located in the historic RCA building (6363 Sunset Boulevard), the iconic Ivar Theatre (1605 Ivar Avenue), the professional quality recording studios at the Los Angeles Recording School (6690 Sunset Boulevard), and the main headquarters at 6353 Sunset Boulevard, Hollywood, CA, 90028.
