The Master of Laws (LL.M.) program at Temple Law has long been educating international lawyers with great success. Today, over 600 LL.M. graduates use their Temple legal education to practice and teach throughout the world.
The LL.M. program for foreign-trained lawyers serves international:
Students will earn a degree in American law, learn about the U.S. legal system, and become leaders in the global market. Students may attend two or three semesters, depending on the student’s personal and professional goals.
Temple Law is ranked as a top 50 U.S. law school by U.S. News and World Report . It is also consistently top ranked for International Law, Legal Research and Writing, and Trial Advocacy, among other specialties. Temple Law’s distinguished professors are accomplished, supportive, and dedicated to preparing students for outstanding careers.
Temple has two international campuses, located in Tokyo and Rome, at which LL.M. students may be able to study. Over half of the faculty has taught at Temple's campuses abroad, demonstrating their global interests and sensitivity to the needs of international students.
Temple Law is located in Philadelphia, the sixth-largest city in the United States, conveniently located between New York City and Washington, DC. The cost of living in Philadelphia is lower than that of other east coast cities. Students are able to save money on living expenses while pursuing their legal studies and networking in a large city. Philadelphia is the first UNESCO World Heritage City in the U.S. and was just named one of the top cities to visit in the U.S. for 2020 by National Geographic .
