Program Description

To prepare graduates with demonstrated competence in the cognitive (knowledge), psychomotor (skills), and affective (behavior) learning domains of respiratory care practice as performed by registered respiratory therapists (RRTs).

To prepare leaders for the field of respiratory care by including curricular content that includes objectives related to the acquisition of skills in one or more of the following: management, education, research, AND/OR advanced clinical practice (which may include an area of clinical specialization).

The Respiratory Care program at Seattle Central College's Health Education Center trains students to deliver high quality respiratory care in a complex and technically demanding environment. We prepare learners for success in the field of respiratory care by teaching competence, confidence and professionalism. In so doing we promote excellence at the bedside and in the profession as a whole.

Located in picturesque Westerville, Ohio — just minutes away from downtown Columbus — we are a perfect location for undergraduate and graduate students to find internships and worldwide networking opportunities.

Location: Westerville is a residential community of 36,000 residents on the northeast side of Columbus, Ohio, offering a small-town atmosphere with all the conveniences and opportunities of a big city.
