The PNWU Master of Arts in Medical Sciences (MAMS) degree is a one-year program that will introduce students to a broad range of health care topics while strengthening academic credentials for admission to a health care professional programs or preparation for career advancement. The MAMS program prepares students to become compassionate, culturally aware, and competent health care professionals. Students have leadership, community service, and research opportunities while exploring multiple health care professions alongside professional program students.
The MA in Medical Sciences program at Pacific Northwest University of Health Sciences is taught and mentored by highly skilled and supportive medical practitioners and educators who infuse every course with their knowledge and passion while providing invaluable support, insight, and feedback.
The MAMS program accepts 30 to 40 students for each new class, which starts in the fall. PNWU uses a "rolling admissions" process. Offers of admission are made following the first interview until the class is full. Once the class is full, applicants will be given the option for admission to the following cohort. It is strongly recommended to apply early.

Pacific Northwest University Of Health Sciences emphasizes the recruitment of students from rural or medically underserved locations. It educates students in such areas with the intended outcome of graduates returning to practice in those or similar communities.
Beyond offering the Osteopathic Medicine program, the university has engaged in collaborations with Washington State University (WSU) Schools of Pharmacy and Nursing, and Heritage University’s (HU) Physician Assistant (PA) and Master of Arts in Medical Science (MAMS) programs to provide interprofessional education to students from each program.
