Bachelor in Computer Science

Computer science is a rapidly growing and ever-changing field that is primarily concerned with software design and development. Computer science graduates are in high demand. Our program develops our students’ abilities to think logically and promotes problem-solving skills.

The computer science major provides a broad, high-quality undergraduate education in computer science within a liberal arts setting. We prepare students for the workforce and build a strong foundation of knowledge that is necessary for graduate study and lifelong learning.

If you’ve been on our campus visit or met any of our alumni, you already know that Monmouth is a special place. We’re not totally sure what the perfect recipe for college life is, but we’re pretty sure it includes a heaping cup of feeling like home, an excellent liberal arts education, great relationships with faculty and a dash of bagpipes.

We are a private, residential, national liberal arts college, offering majors in the natural sciences, social sciences, arts and humanities. We have small, seminar-style classes, awesome internship and study-abroad opportunities, and summer research experiences for thoughtful, intellectually engaged and ambitious students.
