Physician Assistant Program (Minnesota), Master of Health Sciences

The Physician Assistant (PA) Program at Mayo Clinic is designed to provide the knowledge and skills needed to serve tomorrow's health care needs. Our transformational education model focuses on active learning that will engage you in evidence-based clinical reasoning needed for high-quality patient care.

Prioritizing your personal wellness.  To support students in their rigorous studies, we have woven into our curriculum unique opportunities and personal wellness development activities. You will have the tools to guide your future patients toward optimal health later.

Developing PA leaders for tomorrow.  In our team-based approach to care, you will learn leadership skills that contribute to the most effective utilization of your talents as a PA inpatient care.

After successfully completing this program, you will receive a Master of Health Sciences degree in PA studies from the Mayo Clinic School of Health Sciences.

Mayo invited physicians and students to visit Rochester, Minnesota, and learn about their innovative medical and surgical practice. Visitors coming to observe referred to attending the "Mayos' clinic."

At the same time, the Mayo brothers and their colleagues were distinguished scholars who traveled the world to learn from others and bring back the latest medical developments to incorporate into their own practice. As the Mayo Clinic integrated medical practice grew, education's importance continued to be a central focus.
