Nationally ranked NAIA athletic teams. The LSUS Pilots and Lady Pilots compete in the Red River Athletic Conference, affiliated with the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA). The Pilots compete in baseball, basketball and cross country and the Lady Pilots compete in basketball, cross country and tennis. The Pilots baseball program won their conference tornament last season and a bid to regionals and has a preseason ranking of number 13 in the country for 2011. The Pilots men's and women's basketball programs haves also set team and university records, both attending the national conference last season.
