The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) track at the Loma Linda University School of Nursing prepares students for a career beyond direct patient care. As a CNS, professionals are involved in all aspects of patient care as an educator, researcher, consultant or administrator in a health care setting.

The Clinical Nurse Specialist program is 3-years, full-time. We encourage students to pursue the Doctorate in Nursing Practice (DNP), as this will become the new National Standard in the next few years.

Loma Linda University is a Seventh-day Adventist organization with more than 4,400 students located in Southern California. Eight schools comprise the University organization. We share our campus with six hospitals where students receive hands-on training. More than 100 programs are offered by the schools of Allied Health Professions, Behavioral Health, Dentistry, Medicine, Nursing, Pharmacy, Public Health and Religion.

Curricula offered range from certificates of completion and associate in science degrees to doctor of philosophy and professional doctoral degrees. Also, Loma Linda University offers several distance education programs. Students from more than 80 countries around the world and virtually every state in the nation are represented in Loma Linda University's student body.
