Presentation

Year after year the number of therapists and people who have an interest in both young people and families for a healthier diet and a healthier health care is increasing. Proof of this is the growing number of companies in the food, naturist and pharmaceutical sectors that are offering the market products that coexist with this new philosophy of healthy and healthy life and at the same time the television channels are broadcasting programs that promote a healthy life .

Diet therapy is the therapy that is based on the prevention and improvement of diseases or the elimination of their symptoms, through the foods that we eat or those that we eliminate from the diet.

Not only must take into account the nutritional properties, also we must consider the manipulations and processes to which food is subject, as well as the methods of cultivation or aging of the plants or animals that we ingest.

Since prehistory, animals have been able to regulate food intake to correct imbalances in health or to attenuate symptoms, an example of this can be found in our pets, which by "instinct", are purged by eating certain plants or by doing fasting, when they feel bad.

Humans have not lost this instinct at all, the problem is that we do not listen to our organism, who has not felt at a certain moment rejection for a food, has taken it, and subsequently it has been wrong, or in certain occasions you have the need to drink, something sweet, or salty.

Diet therapy is used very frequently by allopathic medicine, and almost always, in Holistic medicine, although not always with the same criteria.

For this holistic therapies take into account the denaturation that occurs in certain forms of preparation or preservation of food such as, for example, the use of microwaves, fried or smoked.

On the other hand it is increasingly demanding greater knowledge on the part of society for a healthier diet accompanied by the use of nutritional supplements such as medicinal plants.

Therefore, the student decides in this expert university program if he wants to specialize with Phytotherapy (medicinal plants) or orthomolecular therapy (nutritional supplements).

Therefore, this program seeks that people who develop it acquire some knowledge about orthomolecular therapy to know its positive effects as well as its contraindications according to the person taking into account that more and more pharmacies and parapharmacies offer these nutritional supplements.

In the same way those who decide on medicinal plants are a very topical market, since their consumption is high and the sales produced are so high that they require a labor market of specialists who direct their efforts towards a greater knowledge of medicinal plants and, of course, to inform about the benefits and risks that may derive from their consumption.

You can request the validation of credits for the own Master in Naturopathy and Parapharmacy (60 ECTS), for the own university expert in orthomolecular therapy (24 ECTS), for the university expert in phytotherapy (24 ECTS); as long as the admission requirements of each title are met.
