Addressing the global environmental crisis requires interdisciplinary training at the intersection of environmental science and international affairs to bridge the gap between scientific knowledge and policy expertise. Georgetown University, with its academic strengths, resources, and strategic location, presents the Master of Science in Environment and International Affairs (MS-EIA) program to provide a comprehensive, interdisciplinary education in this growing field.
Georgetown’s MS-EIA degree integrates training in international affairs and the environmental sciences into a single interdisciplinary program where each course seamlessly integrates both disciplines for the common good. The Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service at Georgetown University is the oldest school of international affairs in the United States, it's founding in 1919 predating the establishment of the U.S. Foreign Service by six years. It is also a premier school of international affairs, home in 2010 to programs ranked by Foreign Policy magazine as first in the world at the graduate level and fifth at the undergraduate level.
