Bachelor of Science - Human Services

The program integrates classroom instruction with a graded series of field-based experiences, including an intensive internship, to foster the application of knowledge and skills in community-based settings. It is founded on a strength-based empowerment perspective which emphasizes the enhancement of clients capabilities to meet the challenges they face. Graduates pursue careers in direct service to clients, public advocacy, and human services administration in agency and government settings.

Program Mission: The human services program educates students in the skills and competencies necessary to enter and advance their careers in a wide variety of human services. It is founded on a strength-based, systemic empowerment perspective that promotes ethical and professional-decision making to address the challenges of an evolving human services field.

We're a public institution located in Fitchburg, Massachusetts, dedicated to integrating high-quality professional programs with strong liberal arts and sciences studies.

Founded in 1894, we now have more than 30 undergraduate programs and 22 master's degree programs, and 7,000 full and part-time students.
