Shifting between theoretical and practical courses for 3 years, our students are trained by experienced professionals that are selected for their pedagogical approach. Here are some noticeable points of our bachelor program

  • We offer a variety of courses, including directing, cinematography, production, screenwriting, and editing.
  • Practical classes are held twice a week at a minimum, from directing, camera training, and lighting courses, to sound-on-set courses as well as editing, color grading, and sound mixing courses.
  • Each year ends with a production period dedicated to filming more ambitious projects written by the students.
  • During their studies, students are asked to complete and present several projects or finished works.
  • During this 3 year journey, students will choose a Major and develop a specialized set of skills that fits their desired jobs and goals.
  • Masterclasses and weeklong workshops are organized often for students to meet advanced professionals and discover new specific skills and potential new careers.
  • By the end of a student’s studies, they will have a personal show-reel to represent their work.

Located in Paris, DBIMA also has a strong link to French culture, art, Museums and Exhibitions.

DBIMA is a cinema school founded by Media Professionals and Award-winning cinema experts. The courses are uniquely tailored to prepare students for the new creative economy in cinema. We offer a European Bachelor of Arts in Cinema and Audiovisual and a European Master of Arts in Cinema and Audiovisual. Taught in small classroom settings, each student receives one-on-one instruction. We also provide elite-level industry technology, by giving hands-on experience and an edge in helping them find future employment.
