Master of Applied Diplomacy program

As part of the Grace School of Applied Diplomacy at DePaul, our Master of Applied Diplomacy program unites traditional and non-traditional approaches to the field of diplomacy. Here, we know that the work of diplomacy is not limited to members of the foreign service, but practised by members of non-governmental organizations, business people, scientists, and community organizers.

The MA in Applied Diplomacy is dedicated to preparing students to enter this dynamic world of diplomacy. Our core courses offer all students a shared understanding of diplomatic studies, global relations, international political economy and sustainable international development, a firm foundation that complements each of our six diverse concentrations.

Liberal Arts and Social Sciences is the foundational college of DePaul. We serve the entire university through our courses in the Liberal Studies and University Honors programs (our names for “general education”) and robust co-curricular educational opportunities. We are devoted to the life of the mind as well as the Vincentian missions of service to the community and social justice.

The success of the college is due to our devoted faculty and staff who share the university's values, vision, and enthusiasm for learning. Teaching comes first at DePaul. All of our classes are taught by faculty members, not graduate assistants. Our faculty shape their fields of expertise and apply the latest knowledge and methods in their classrooms and scholarly and creative work.
