Associate of Arts in Biological Sciences

The Associate of Arts (A.A.) in Biological Sciences degree at Cleveland University-Kansas City (CUKC) offers accelerated health sciences and general education coursework students can complete in less than two years. CUKC offers courses online, on-ground, or as a hybrid. The degree requires a minimum of 60 credit hours of post‐secondary coursework. Students are required to complete a minimum of 15 credit hours at Cleveland University-Kansas City.

The challenging course load will prepare you to move into a rigorous professional health sciences curriculum, including our Doctor of Chiropractic (D.C.) degree program, or your credits can be transferred to other institutions of higher learning in a variety of health-related fields, such as medicine, nursing, dentistry, radiology, and pharmacy, to name a few.

For those pursuing bachelor’s or associate degrees, we offer prerequisite sciences courses in accelerated, eight-week intervals, on campus and online. Some graduates go directly into careers in laboratories or in the field. Many go on to pursue more advanced degrees in biology on their way to careers in forensics, research or traditional healthcare.

Our Master of Science in Health Education and Promotion and our Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science allows graduates to take advantage of a growing job market in workplace wellness implementation. Other career opportunities await in risk management, human resources, and occupational health and safety.
