Program Description

Opticianry is one of the fastest-growing fields in the state with an average starting salary of $51,000 a year for licensed opticians. BFIT is the only college in Massachusetts that offers a degree in Opticianry and 95% of our graduates get a job in their field.

In our program, you’ll get hands-on training as you learn how to design, fit, and dispense glasses and contact lenses as well as operate all forms of ophthalmic tools and instruments. Our instructors are industry leaders who will prepare you to pass the licensing exam and start a rewarding career helping people enjoy better eye health.
