Program Description

Beacon College's Human Services major is designed to prepare students for a career in a wide variety of helping professions or for graduate school. Students learn to think critically, analyze and apply psychological theories, conduct themselves professionally and ethically, and work on a team and become more self-aware. The faculty have experience in human services so students see how what they learn in class is applied in the real world.

The US Department of Labor listed Human Services as one of the top ten job fields on the rise, with an estimated 150 per cent increase in opportunities as Human Services' field expands.
