At the end of the program, participants will be able to:

Demonstrate an understanding of how language is learned.

• Identify current language teaching methodologies and their advantages and disadvantages, and effectively put practices into use.
• Evaluate, select, and use appropriate materials for language skills being taught.
• Create a comfortable learning environment.
• Evaluate own teaching effectiveness.

Course Requirement:

English proficiency is required.

For the non-English speaker, the applicant must meet one of the following admission requirements;

completion of our academic ESL (level 6) OR submission of one of the official scores: - TOEFL iBT: 70, IELTS: 6.0, or TOEIC: 635

$2,800, 180 hours (10 weeks)

AMLOTUS COURSES

General ESL

The goal of this course is to develop students' ability to understand and produce the basic sounds, vocabulary, and sentence patterns of American English.

Academic ESL

The goal of the Academic ESL course is to develop academic reading and writing skills through the examination of a wide range of reading materials and essay development.

Intensive Business English

The goal of this course is to develop students' ability to understand and utilize business and workplace terminology to effectively communicate, in a business setting.

Elective Course

American Culture, Current Events

The goal of elective courses is to focus on students functioning successfully in English for specific purposes course. The elective courses expand on your interests and offer lessons that are multi- and cross-cultural in scope and linear in sequence.

iBT TOEFL Prep Course

The goal of this course is to further develop students' ability and confidence in TOEFL iBT Exams & test-taking strategies. We offer FREE computerized TOEFL iBT mock test.

TESOL Certificate Program

The goal of TESOL Certificate program is to provide individuals who are interested in teaching ESL or EFL foundational skills and strategies to be successful in the classroom. The program equips students with a foundation in language acquisition, ESL methodology, and prepares them for further studies or professional development.
