What is it?
A special opportunity to obtain two MSc degrees from separate leading institutions on two continents.
An exciting new partnership has been established between the University of Leicester and Lingnan University, Hong Kong. This will allow students from each university to study an additional Masters degree over a shorter period by studying fewer modules.
Students must be studying on the following programmes to be eligible:
- MSc Banking and Finance
- MSc Financial Economics
- MSc Business Analysis and Finance
How does it work?
Students complete a full 12-month MSc degree at either Leicester or Lingnan University before applying at the reciprocating university for a reduced study period.
Leicester graduates can complete a 6-month programme with Lingnan University if they study one of the specified Master's degrees and choose specific optional modules at Leicester and Lingnan. In comparison, Lingnan graduates complete an 8-9 month programme within the specified choice of Masters degrees at Leicester.
Thus, Leicester students can receive two MSc degrees after successful completion of 18 months of study whereas for Lingnan students, after successful completion of 20-21 months.
The reduced module load for the additional MSc degree is in recognition of the prior learning at one of the partner institutions.
Route 1: the University of Leicester followed by Lingnan University

After completing studies at Leicester, entry to Lingnan University will begin in Term 2 (January) and include studying the module IBF614: Fixed Income Securities.
