A Once in a lifetime experience
We put a strong emphasis on skills-based practise and fieldwork, our undergraduate degrees include an optional placement year where you can get the chance to work in industry or study abroad.
Industrial placements Our students have completed placements with local Councils, the Northern Ireland government, the National Trust and a wide range of environmental and engineering consultants, mainly across the UK and Ireland.
Studying abroad You could get the chance to study internationally with students heading to Montana in the USA and New South Wales in Australia as well as the Netherlands, Spain, Austria and the Czech Republic across Europe.
Making a difference through research
Our PhD students research a range of topics from antibiotic resistance in aquatic systems to quantifying glacier change in the Arctic and modelling wind on the surface of Mars!
