MSc in Energy and Resources Management
The Master of Science in Energy and Resources Management (CRICOS Code: 076038B) at UCL Australia is a two-year programme designed to provide students with a rigorous and comprehensive knowledge of contemporary theory and practice in the sustainable management of energy and natural resources.
The MSc is connected to the energy and resources industry, with leading academic and top industry professionals contributing to the taught courses.
For full-time students, Year 1 comprises eight courses and is designed to deepen/broaden understanding of the field. In Year 2, MSc students can select one of two options: either a research stream undertaking a research project in industry or a coursework stream comprising of a combination of taught courses and short research projects.
Part-time study in the MSc is available only to students who are not studying in Australia on a student visa and can be completed over a period of three to five years.
Each course is delivered intensively over five consecutive days, followed by a three-hour written examination three weeks later. Assignments and projects for each course lead to a report that must be submitted no later than three weeks from the final day of tuition.
‘Fly-in, fly-out’ The assignments, projects and subsequent report may be undertaken off campus, enabling ‘fly-in, fly-out’ attendance for part-time students.
