Our Story
2021 - Joining the BYJU's group
After marking tremendous growth and profit despite being bootstrapped, this year we shook hands with BYJU’S, one of the top edtech organizations in the world. We collaborated and launched fresh programs with Deakin University, National University of Singapore, IIT-Roorkee, IIIT-Delhi, Shiv Nadar University amongst others and reached a record milestone of upskilling 4 Million+ learners on our platform. We were also awarded ‘Best Online Skills Provider of the Year’ by Entrepreneur India.
2020 - Northwestern University Collaboration
This was a momentous year for us. We launched multiple international programs and expanded our global footprint to 140+ countries, making us one of the largest professional learning companies around the globe. We also embarked on a new partnership with Northwestern University
2019 - International University Collaboration
This year saw us diversifying our portfolio with programs in Cybersecurity and Design Thinking, through collaboration with Stanford Executive Education. We also expanded our offerings for senior leaders with specifically tailored programs in AI and Analytics. We launched GL-Excelerate, our flagship career initiative to connect learners and alumni with the top corporates in the country.
2018 - Partnership with Texas McCombs
We launched 50th batch of our flagship program in Business Analytics, as well as partnered with The University of Texas at Austin, McCombs School of Business to launch it internationally. We also launched 6 new programs in Cloud computing, DevOps, Full Stack Development, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning. Through these initiatives impacted 5000+ working professionals’ lives and careers through our programs.
2017 - 2 million learning hours
Great Learning successfully delivered 2 million learning hours (and counting) in our quest for making every professional future-ready in an exceedingly data-driven world. Our newest program, PG Program – Big Data (PGP-BDA), is launched in Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.
2016 - Expansion to 6 new cities
Great Learning expands its wings to 6 metropolitan centers including Chennai, Bangalore, Gurgaon, Pune, Mumbai, and Hyderabad. Two new programs are launched – PG Program in Management and BACP (Business Analytics Certification Program). We impact 1000+ working professionals’ lives and careers through our programs.
2015 - Ranked #1 program
PG Program – Business Analytics (PGP-BABI) is listed as the top analytics program in the country by Analytics India Magazine, Outlook, Business Standard, etc. This continues for two years in a row and we work hard to retain our numerouno status.
2014 - First program launched
Our flagship program in Business Analytics (PGP-BABI) is launched in 3 cities – Chennai, Bangalore, Gurgaon. The team works closely with faculty, industry leaders, alumni, and students to make the program highly industry-relevant, comprehensive and rigorous.
2013 - Inception
Mohan Lakhamraju and Hari Nair founded Great Learning to realize their dream of making every working professional, in the country, data proficient. Program development and market research begin soon after.
