Bachelor of Music in Komposition

The Bachelor of Music in Composition is for talented students who wish to pursue careers as composers or arrangers, or who wish to continue musical study in composition, music theory, or musicology at the graduate level. Students are admitted into the composition program based on an audition on their primary instrument and a portfolio review of their compositions; this may include arrangements, sound design, and other musical creative work.

Northern Kentucky University's School of the Arts Music Program offers a full range of performance and education opportunities to Music majors. Since our primary focus is undergraduate instruction, students receive individual attention from outstanding musicians, teachers and scholars. Students have numerous performance opportunities in varying genres. Our ensembles perform on campus and around town throughout the academic year and have toured nationally and internationally.
