FIFA Master - Internationaler Master in Management, Recht und Geisteswissenschaften des Sports

The FIFA Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport was recently ranked as the #1 Postgraduate Sport Management course in Europe for a record eleventh time in the new influential 2023 SportBusiness rankings. This unprecedented achievement now firmly establishes the FIFA Master as one of the most respected in international sports business education.

The criteria used for the latest independent survey of academic courses around the world included alumni career paths, student satisfaction, diversity of course intakes, analysis of networking opportunities and wider university partnerships.

Organised by the International Centre for Sports Studies (CIES) in partnership with De Montfort University in Leicester (UK), SDA Bocconi School of Management in Milan (Italy) and the University of Neuchâtel (Switzerland), the FIFA Master in Management, Law and Humanities of Sport was created to promote management education within the sports world. It has grown to become a top graduate programme developing all-round managers who can cope with the increasingly complex world of sport.

With over 90% of our 600+ FIFA Master graduates, and who represent 120+ nationalities - now working in the sports industry, the impact of the FIFA Master reaches across all continents and nations.

THE APPLICATION DEADLINE FOR THE 25TH EDITION (2024-2025) OF THE FIFA MASTER IS NOW OVER

Submitted applications will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee. The selection process will take around 3-4 months.

Applications for the 25th Edition of the FIFA Master will no longer be accepted under any circumstances.

For those of you who would like to apply in the future, the online application form for the next edition of the FIFA Master will be available  as of early October 2024.

A unique programme

The FIFA Master takes its graduates on a unique journey through three different European countries to study sport. Three distinguished universities in the UK, Italy and Switzerland, which are among Europe's most sports-oriented countries, have come together to provide a one-year programme that combines top-class academic teaching and practical case studies supplemented by guest lecturers and field visits. The course focuses on three key and inter-related aspects of sport - Humanities, Management and Law.

CIES - International Centre for Sports Studies , is an independent study centre located in Neuchâtel, Switzerland. It was created in 1995 as a foundation between the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the University of Neuchâtel, the City and the State of Neuchatel.

Using a multi-disciplinary approach CIES provides research, top-level education and consulting services to the sports world with the aim of overcoming the complexities of sport in today's society and improving how it is governed and managed across all sports.

As an international centre, CIES maintains a qualified and diverse staff and continually expands its partnerships with individuals, universities and sports organisations around the globe.
