The EIT Manufacturing Master's (EIT-M) is designed to attract and empower top talents preparing them to become leading innovators and entrepreneurs in manufacturing.

Five different programs are on offer through the EIT-M Master School at a consortium of European universities, two of which are available at Centrale Nantes. Students move from their entry university at the end of the first year to their exit university in a different country for the second year. The language of instruction throughout is English.

EIT-M program graduates are awarded two Master's degrees - one from each university. An EIT Label certificate is also conferred to participants who have followed one of the 5 programs (with international mobility), taken part in the Innovation & Entrepreneurship courses (in particular the summer school), and successfully completed an internship in industry.

The EIT-M, which welcomed its first intake of students in September 2021, is set to be one of the main assets of the EIT Manufacturing innovation communities, spreading innovation and creating new businesses in the manufacturing ecosystem. Centrale Nantes, along with INP Grenoble, is one of only two French institutions to offer programs as part of the EIT Manufacturing Master School.

About the EIT-M Programs

The programs offer mobility, mentorship, networking, innovation & entrepreneurship, and business modules. EIT-M Master's graduates will generate start-ups or innovate within manufacturing companies and ecosystems, contributing to European competitiveness, environmental sustainability, and to the creation of new quality jobs.

The EIT-M Master's Programs feature strong participation from the industry with real case studies, testimonies company visits, and internships.

In keeping with the traditions of French Engineering schools ( grandes écoles d'ingénieurs ), Centrale Nantes, founded in 1919, trains versatile engineers to a very high scientific and technical level. Centrale Nantes has two major tools for innovation and creation : unrivaled research platforms (ocean test facilities, dynamic and static testing, rapid manufacturing, engine test benchs etc) and an incubator with 20 years of experience in supporting startup projects. Since an engineer develops products for society, you will learn how companies work and develop your ability to create, develop and manage them.
