Learn how to optimize the use of data to improve healthcare outcomes.

The demand for educated and skilled professionals in healthcare information technology is high. The industry is migrating to a more digital landscape and there’s an ever-growing need for professionals to connect the gap between data and physicians allowing for a more fluid, comprehensive model of care.

Bryant's Master of Science in Healthcare Informatics is an interdisciplinary field of study in the healthcare industry that uses information technology to organize and analyze health data and records to improve healthcare outcomes.

Students will be able to:

  • Analyze, understand, and model a specific healthcare problem in terms of data, information, and knowledge of the healthcare system
  • Use critical thinking and analysis to identify possible solutions to problems and generate efficiencies to enhance the equitable delivery of healthcare
  • Communicate data orally and visually to key stakeholders Implement solutions to problems using technology
  • Create new theories, methods, technologies, and processes to address biomedical informatics problems
  • Collaborate in teams to effectively engage with key stakeholders in healthcare both within and across disciplines

Graduates who leave the program are equipped with the knowledge of the healthcare industry and technical skills needed to effectively analyze complex health data, manage health information systems, and support the increased utilization of electronic health records.

The 10-course, 30-credit, in-person program can be completed in 18 months or 12 months with classes over winter and summer sessions.

What must my application include?

In addition to the application form, you will need to submit a statement of objectives, a current resume, as well as a letter of recommendation, official transcripts from all colleges/universities you have attended, and your application fee (waived for Bryant alumni).

Are there any special requirements for international applicants?

An international applicant is defined as any person that requires a student visa to study in the United States. International applicants are eligible to apply to any graduate program, provided they have successfully completed the equivalent of a United States bachelor’s degree and have the appropriate diplomas and/or satisfactory results on transcripts or leaving examinations from the country in which the degree was earned. International applicants must complete all program-specific application requirements as well as all additional international application requirements outlined below.

English Proficiency

All applicants whose primary language is not English (or for whom English is not one of their primary languages) are required to submit proof of satisfactory English proficiency. Exceptions will be made if the applicant completed an undergraduate or graduate degree at a regionally accredited institution within the U.S., or if the language of instruction for an earned undergraduate or graduate degree was entirely in English. At this time, the only acceptable forms of proof for English proficiency are the TOEFL, IELTS, and Duolingo English Test, with minimum score requirements listed below.

  • TOEFL iBT: 85
  • IELTS: 6.5
  • Duolingo English Test: 105

An official score report must be sent directly from the examination organization to the Graduate Programs Office at Bryant University (TOEFL School Code: 3095).

Financial Aid

Students can apply for government-sponsored and private education loans. U.S. citizens and permanent residents are encouraged to apply for financial aid by completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).

In addition, Bryant University accepts payments directly from a number of employers who have tuition assistance programs. In other cases, students may be eligible for reimbursement of educational expenses.

The Bryant Master of Science in Accounting provides accounting students with the distinct advantage of cutting-edge knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today's competitive business environment.

The MSA degree can be completed in as little as two terms and provides the necessary 150 hours required for CPA licensure. Classes are delivered simultaneously in the classroom and online.

This is a full-time, 10-course program designed for accounting graduates.

What must my application include?

In addition to the application form, you will need to submit a statement of objectives, current resume, one accounting faculty recommendation, official transcripts from all colleges/universities you have attended, your official score on the GMAT, and your application fee (waived for Bryant alumni). Are there special requirements for international students?

A TOEFL score is required if your native language is not English or if you have not completed a degree from a program taught in English. In addition, your transcripts from colleges/universities outside the U.S. must be translated into English and converted to a 4.0 scale. Official documentation from an academic evaluation agency indicating that you have earned a degree equivalent to a U.S. bachelor's degree is required. If you are seeking an I-20, you must submit a completed International Student Certification of Finances, I-20 application, or Sevis transfer form.

What is the tax concentration?

Designed for students who want to combine advanced accounting courses with additional courses in taxation. May be completed full-time in two semesters: Summer/Fall or Summer/Summer. Applicants must be (or about to become) a graduate of an accredited undergraduate accounting program. The four required tax courses are Individual Income Taxation; Sales, Exchanges and Other Dispositions; Corporations and Shareholders; and Partnership Income Tax Problems.
